cascade and other moves

Well this is a long video, mostly because of the intro though. i don't want to spoil anything in the description...but I have to in the tricks list, so get to at least like a minute in before reading this. Like I said, I'm 2 days late, but that's because I was hanging out with the .org people on the 10th, and didn't get home until 4:00 on the 11th, and I had work at 5. Then the next day I wasn't home at all. So yea, I'm late, but I didn't use those late days to get more practice in. When i get into the ball juggling, I've only been doing that for a little less then a week, so hopefully by next month I can make it consistent. This is a family of tricks that are part cascade or fountain, and part shower or pseudoshower, which are good tricks for learning numbers juggling. They are stepping stones between the easier tricks you can do, and target numbers trick you wish to do. Pseudoshower?! Twin to the shower, it has even high throws and odd period, instead of odd high throws and even period. The four families of hybrids are, the cascade-shower, the cascade-pseudoshower, the fountain-shower, and the fountain-pseudoshower. The inf. pseudoshower 3: 1818181 could have been added to the lower right section, on top. I like all of these tricks, but haven't seen them described this way before. I also performed 8888181 and 8888881 in Ten Years of Not Juggling, shown on the board. In that film I also performed 6: 99919191, and 5: 88171717, 6: 88881717, 7: 88888817, and also 6: 889191, and 7: 888891, which differ in having shower throws higher than the fountain throws.

Here I attempt the impossible: to juggle four balls in the cascade pattern, and 5 in the fountain. As a bonus, I also show the 5-ball wimpy pattern. So far as I know, I am the first person ever to do this trick, and with any luck will also be the last.

This is my favorite way to enter, reverse and exit a five ball shower. From cascade 5, 678 is the entrance, 91 (repeated) is the shower, and 817161 is the exit. To reverse, throw 8181818 and then you can throw 91s from the other side.

Done with 1 lb. weighted balls for better control, although it increases fatigue.

The variation of 522 Mills Mess where the 5 is thrown from the uncrossed position. Notice how it's just a reverse cascade thrown high enough that you can cross and uncross your arms after each throw.

Well, since I'm competing again this year, I figured I'd update my profile video with some of the more recent stuff I've accomplished like, oh, I don't know, stuff like: 17 catches of a 5 ring flat front reverse cascade 17 catches of a 4 ring mills mess 3 rounds of 744 with 5 rings 4 ring 2up 180 to 2up360 and a 6 ring qualify.

Still Hard Work has an emphasis on 1 and 2 ball ideas, and a brief shot of me doing the "real" under-the-leg cascade.

Hard Work 3 focuses on really tough 3 ball work (plus a fun water break). The behind-the-neck catch I do with one ball on the other videos appears here out of the cascade.

After dropping stuff for years in the US, I took my juggling overseas, but alas. Gravity proved to be equally challenging all over the world. At least I found some beautiful backgrounds. I even cascaded (clubs) in front of a cascade (waterfall)! Thanks to all who helped me film this stuff from 2002 to 2005. Thanks to Enya for this tune, "Storms in Africa" (sorry Ms Enya that I don't have Africa on here). Thanks to Juggling TV for making videos look better than the Tube of You.

I hope someone will find this useful. I teach the timing for the kickup from 4 to 5 clubs. I hope it looks better posted here than on the Tube of You.

well... first there is this bit with the sound system to go with the name and to match then music then i do a three club trick where they balance on my arms and stuff then it goes to the thing with different clashes and short tricks to match the music then i do a 5 ball trick with back crosses and a spin around and more back crosses with numbers and x's and things then i do 4 club singles while having 2 clubs on the ground one on top of the other so that i can step on the fat end of one using it as a lever to flip the other one into my hand and go into a 5 club cascade... you know what, i don't really have time to write out a description so maybe you better just watch the video.

A few three ball patterns put together out of boredom, while my wife was shopping and our daughter was asleep.
