Asleep at the Wheel performs Am I High. This is a Texas Swing style band and the leader Ray Benson throws in a few juggling tricks in the middle of the song.

Reeses2150

Video number 19! The second video made entirely with Vegas, and definitely worth the change I think. I changed up my editing style for this video after the failure of Adverse Reaction, and started this video by finding the best music FIRST, then editing the video according to the music. The change definitely helps I think. Enjoy! http://reeses2150.com/db3/Reeses2150%20-%201987.wmv

Adverse Reaction

Reeses2150

FINALLY! Alright, so we've got a lot of good stuff in here, like 8 catches of a 6 ring full reverse, 5 ring half shower, 5 ring full reverse double qualify, a 5 ball mills, 5 ring pancakes, 8 ring flash, 7 ring qualify, and a 4 box move I call "Impossible". Sorry about the massive wait, I got a job and didn't have a single place to practice any move that needed more than an 8 foot ceiling. That AND After trying to use Sony Vegas with my regular video editing style, I found it to be 300 times more work (exactly, not an estimate) than to just use Windows Movie Maker. Or course the problem is Movie Maker got corrupted on my computer somehow and doesn't want to work correctly anymore, so I had to mash this thing together in movie maker and vegas, and save it piece by piece before finally recombining it tonight. Thus, the editing isn't the BEST in the world, but I think it's good enough, I absolutely did NOT want to release this after the IJA. Once the next semester starts, I'm sure I'll be getting even BETTER f

Here's the way computers use the state-space to generate transition sequences ... and why that way doesn't work for people! Plus, there's a human-based way if you know of or can come up with a trick that has states in common with the two tricks you wish to transition between. /nPlease note that even if tricks have different levels of excitation, but nevertheless share states with one another, you can just go from the middle of one trick to the middle of the other (or wherever the tricks share the common state), without any "extra" throws.

Spring Break '010

ultimatewannabe

A fun video of spring break, nothing to serious or full of effort but some nice tricks nonetheless. Most of the footage is from my trip to Oakland where I got to juggle with Shawn, Kyle and the rest of the people at the Vulcan and the Vagabond Ballroom. Hurray for nudists and juggling, two things that go oh so well together. The beard section in the middle is to make Sondre happy or disturbed depending on how he takes it.

Tennis Can and Ball - NZ Combo #32

happysmurfday

I went up to a park in Highbury and recorded a combination of tricks, most of which I've recorded before, but never together. In the middle I do catch behind the back which came from working with Devon Howell. At the end is a shaker cup move inspired from watching Tuey Wilson.

Devil Stick Man

alterego200

Met a fascinating man from Brazil, who wished to demonstrate his superb devil sticks skills. Very skilled at the craft, perhaps one of the best in the world. He has practiced an hour a day for his entire life, and often times he practices with a blind fold! He mentioned that he also practices Capoeira. This was shot at Mother's Beach, in Los Angeles, CA. Enjoy the superb (and royalty-free) music track from Nicolas Antar: Music licensed under Creative Commons from Nicolas Antar (http://www.youtube.com/user/qualityni...)

Y you follow me

Ed_Clark

A new pattern created using Aidan notation. The manipulators in this pattern are dependent, as clubs are taken by one manipulator and replaced by the other. 4 count static Y base, with B at the back of the Y, D in the middle of the Y, A on the left of the Y (from the point of view of D and B) and C on the right. Aiden notation for the pattern: A ps|ss|ps|ss|ps|ss B ps|ss|ps|ss|ps|ss C ps|ss|ps|ss|ps|ss D ps|ss|ps|ss|ps|ss M1 cD|--|sA|iA|cA|-- M2 sC|iC|cD|iD|cB|iB Starting: M1 starts back to back with D facing B M2 stands in front of C facing C We start with a ps and then the manipulators begin on ss. The manipulators start on the last instruction at ss as it is written above (M1 --, M2 iB) When M1 reaches the end of the instructions, M1 becomes M2 (having reached the physical location of M2 at the start of the M2 instructions). Similarly M2 becomes M1

Teku Contact - 26 - Finger Stall Variations

Teku

Going through as many variations of finger stall that I can think of. In a few cases I just did the index and middle fingers as putting them all in would take forever and be pretty boring to watch too. If anyone has any more ideas for different stalls let me know please!

Holy Trinity

Sandy

This is an angel roll with a jesus in the middle, and since a jesus consists of a halo roll and a front side halo roll hence holy trinity (angel, jesus and halo). When the angel roll is coming across your back you need to turn quite fast to get into the jesus. If you get the jesus the exit isn't too hard, just hold out your arm like you would normally for an angel roll.

Manipulator passing pattern for four people. The base pattern is 4 count between two jugglers. Below is the Aidan notation for the pattern. There is one round of four count and then the pattern begins A: ps |ss |ps |ss | Becomes juggler B B: ps |ss |cs |ss | Becomes juggler A M: SA-B |SB-B |IA-B |CM-N | Becomes manipulator N N: SB-A |SA-A |SB-A |SN-B | Becomes manipulator M "ps":= pass self "ss":= self self "cs":= chop self "SA-B":= Substitute from juggler A to juggler B "IA-B":= Intercept from juggler A to juggler B (note that at an intercept instruction the juggler that was the destination of the club and the manipulator that performed the intercept change places) "CM-N":= Carry from manipulator M to manipulator N Starting positions in the video: A patterned red shirt (right) B dress (left) M is blue shirt (middle-right) N plain red shirt (middle left) Oh, and the "niiaoow" noise is a cat-plane hybrid noise, performed on the carry (optional).

Trick With Hats: Forward Twiddle

TricksWithHats

Forward Twiddle - Twiddle the hat off the head and back on. It's got comedy potential too! Allegedly. Use a palm-up fork grip on both sides the hat, and lift it off the head. Remove the ring fingers from the brim and twist the hat between the fore and middle fingers. Stop the spin by gripping the brim between the fore fingers and thumb. Reverse the process to return the hat to the head. You can get an easy laugh by getting the return part wrong and pretending to hit yourself in the face. Jon Lockwood (of Mushy Pea Juggling fame, now working as with "Company of Fools") did lots of hat workshops at juggling conventions in the mid to late 1990's and started Mike and LP out on the hat road. This was often the first trick he taught...so it's Jon and this trick that ultimately led to the creation of this site. Thanks Jon! From the TricksWithHats archive

Tricks With Hats: Upward twiddle (one hand)

TricksWithHats

Upward twiddle (one hand) - Twiddle the hat above the head. Grab the hat in a palm up fork grip. Lift the hat straight up, remove the ring fingers from the brim and twist the hat between the fore and middle fingers. Stop the spin by gripping the brim between the forefingers and thumb. Bring it straight back down to the head. From the TricksWithHats archive

Tricks With Hats: Upward twiddle

TricksWithHats

Upward twiddle - Twiddle the hat directly above the head Use a palm-up fork grip on both sides the hat, and lift it off the head and straight up. Remove the ring fingers from the brim and twist the hat between the fore and middle fingers. Stop the spin by gripping the brim between the fore fingers and thumb. You can either place it straight back on the head, or reverse the twiddle on the way back down. From the TricksWithHats Archive
