Filmed in Krystallpalast Varieté, Leipzig in Oct. 2005. Luke was always against having his act online, he always felt that if you wanted to see it you should see it live. Tragically that is no longer a possibility and so I hope he'd forgive me for uploading it now. His work is timeless and I truly believe he'd be happy to let us all enjoy what he spent so long building and be pleased to know that his work lives on to inspire future generations. One of the true greats. RIP old friend.

I posted this in support of the Contact Juggling community. I haven't made a pure contact video in a while and I thought it was necessary. Fushigi and its ridiculous marketing/business tactics have taken a lot away from the contact juggling community recently. Things like respect, respect for the fact that we spend years on this stuff. I personally have lots of hard work, study, creativity (i like to think so), and sometimes pain (see, hard work) into this activity. I know many others have too, and I don't like seeing my friend upset over this attempted re-branding and simplification of our art/whatever./nSo I just wanted to say I am not going to admit defeat to this B.S. I'm still going to progress and do what I like and so should everyone else. This time you'll see the incredible Hagen, who studied at the circus-school "Etage" in Berlin before going to cirkus cirkoer (Stockholm) in 2003 where he developed most of his fine 3 club art showed in this video. He then broke his leg and decided to come back to Germany. From 2005 to 2006, together with Paul Lind, he created some nice 3 ball stuff. Hagen now lives in Frankfurt and teaches juggling and artistry at the Clownsschule Mainz.

If you don't know anything about triathlons, then those comments are very naive, because you have no idea what a race like this entails. I spent 10 months training, researching, and fine tuning what works. Until you actually get out there and see what "works" then try to understand that what looks good on paper, doesn't always translate into good practice. Enjoy! -Joe
