the twelfth annual diabolo.ca collaboration video celebrating the thirteenth anniversary of the D.ca forum./ndiabolo jugglers from many different countries are here sharing their tricks with all of us. Now it is time to celebrate even that this video is published way late and unfortunately doesn't have all the clips that were sent for the 2017 collaboration project in the first place. Sorry for that but I wasn't able to do much about that. Some say better late than never and some might still dissagree but try to enjoy this Late Reduced remix of Diabolo.ca Collaboration video 2017. Dolby 7.1 is the latest in the series of patterns that have manipulation similar to the classic Dolby Söround http://juggling.tv/1742
In this new pattern, we add a club to the Dolby 5.1 pattern, first shown http://juggling.tv/16656 Dolby 5.1, Dolby 5.2 and Dolby 7.1 were all composed together as a set.
Seeing as Dolby 7.1 is another step up in the difficulty of manipulator patterns I've not gone with a standard pattern video, but instead added some training patterns - like a workshop.
Workshop tips:
1. Keep the tempo slow when you are throwing the heffs - you are controlling the pattern speed.
2. The manipulation needs to be a little faster than you might do it in Dolby 5.1, as the tempo is set by the dwell+height of the heffs. Slow manipulation can introduce timing problems for catching the 4p4p.
3. Heffs (4) and double passes (4p) must be the same height in order to keep good timing.
4. The pattern is synchronous.

So I haven't uploaded anything on here in about 6 years it would seem, so I thought I'd put up my new ring juggling video!
It was filmed in August in this really nice location I found at Kiln Park, Wales while on tour with a show.
I'v never really worked on rings as much as i have clubs and balls, but found myself really getting in to it over the summer and this was the result.
There were more tricks I really enjoyed but this was all I filmed here, so enjoy!

Feeding the Fish were commissioned to create choreographed routines for BBC TV's prime-time game-show: "Britain's Brightest". Feeding the Fish's 6-person team used their patented Pixel-Poi technology. The Pixel-Poi were specially programmed to include particular written numbers in their ultra-bright display. The contestants were asked to remember the numbers as they were displayed and answer mathematical questions.

I've been in grad school for 18 months now and it's been a difficult trip. Certainly more time consuming than undergrad but after the first semester I managed to find time to balance life out a bit more, resume volunteer work and circus training. The tricks in this video were mostly filmed over Thanksgiving and Christmas break and almost entirely involve backcrosses with clubs mainly because that's what I'm most excited about sharing at the moment. My knees gave me some problems several years ago and it's made me too paranoid about re-injuring them to do 360 tricks on an un-waxed floor. It's not any loss to the viewer as I haven't learned any new spin tricks in a long time. This is not to say I don't give them the effort, just that I haven't improved on them for a while. There are 360 tricks I could do in high school that I can't do much better these days despite the 6 years of practice that have passed. There are no balls in the video because I couldn't find a way to film them clearly and there is not

[2007] so anna and i (selby) made this video over break. i was talking to jon and decided to dedicate a trick to him. then when we were editing, we realized that there were many people we wanted to dedicate things to, so we did. so here it is, not only a super awesome video but a tribute to people who have helped us become the 'jugglers we are today'

This video was and still is one of my prouder accomplishments, mostly because it was released during a time when videos were downloaded and not streamed. They were also fewer and far between, and I think this is truly one of the first juggling music videos, in which the lyrics of the song were used to inspire content.
At the time it was released, I won a lot of praise on rec.juggling and despite tons of videos released since then, people still send me e-mails requesting a link to this video. And honestly, I think "Heart of a Champion" will always feel like personal theme music to me.
Enjoy and thanks to the wonderful community of jugglers, without whom it wouldn't be worth putting in all the effort to share something like this.

The idea was to get groups of people from around the world (We managed France, USA and the UK I think), all working together to produce a juggling video.... but without any of them knowing what any of the others were doing, or even who was involved!
