Finally got a new prop, and I got it exactly 1 week before filming, and that week was E3 week. All the gamers out there can figure out how much practice I had that week...but yea, I upgraded to new sticks, string, and length 2 days before filming, so it took a while for me to get used to it, even now it feels weird./nBut yea, the 2nd song was a light fun hearted song (for most of it), so that's why I wasn't too serious about editing, it just seemed to fit well having extended clips. I like it.

This was the first move i learnt, it bruised my shoulder for about 2 weeks learning it but it gave me a good understanding of how a staff behaves on my back. Do a neck roll fairly horizontally and when you can see the staff coming round in the corner of your eye, lean to the left and bring your right shoulder up and catch under your arm with your right hand. After you've got this move try a 1/4 steve.

All the stuff I learned for Diabolo over the summer. Half way through making the video the string started to fray but I chose not to fix it so some of the tricks are a wee bit sloppy.

Here's a non-trailer trailer for an upcoming mini-series of Boppo's Whiteboard ... namely, several different methods to calculate or deduce transition sequences between excited-state siteswap tricks. If you know the get-in and get-outs, that's enough to make transitions. If you know of or can find a trick that has states in common with the tricks you wish to transition between, that is enough to make transition sequences. If you know the states themselves and can find throws to convert between them, that too is enough. Also, if you can give the total arrival schedule, if you will, of the entire sequence you wish to have transitions within, that too enables you to deduce possible transition sequences. They all work for synch, too, but the last is maybe the best method for me.

This is my summer 2010 juggling video. Unlike my last one, this thing is just juggling, none of those other distractions. The summer went a little off plan and for that reason I didn't get to juggle nearly as much as I had intended to. /nMy biggest problem was that I decided I was going to run 50 miles on August 1st. So all through June and July I was running a lot. . . like way more than you should, about 80 to 100 miles a week. Most every day I was juggling for a few hours, then running for a few hours, then studying for a few hours, then eating for a while. It turns out that it's bad for your body to do that. I lost 15 lbs in 4 weeks while I was eating 10,000 calories a day. As a result I wound up really immune compromised and I got shingles in late July. Shingles in very painful so I had to stop running and at that point I gained about a pound a day for almost 2 weeks. For those of you who have never experienced rapid weight fluctuations, they suck. This is my first submission for the 2011 IJA Video Tutorial Contest. Most jugglers think that poi spinners are smelly freaks who go to the desert to listen to trance music, but hopefully after watching this you will also see that those of us who choose to can create some quite difficult and technical tricks. /nIf you like my video please vote for it at www.juggle.org between April 1st and 4th. Projekt NMN is a research on control, substance and sanctity, inspired by art, religions and beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe.
Projekt NMN mixes physical theater with juggling, live music and questioning laughter. It is a dialogue between three jugglers and a folk musician concerning objects, riddles, puzzles and other important things.
Projekt NMN is true poetry of contemporary circus, a visual poem of all that exists.
