Matt Hall is looking forward to Turbo Fest 2011!

juggle_sensei

I finally got around to learning how to use the new iMovie interface (ugh). I used some footage that Dom Bouchard and I shot during his wonderful visit for diabolo training in October. Workshops galore on the way!!!

Matt Hennem - 'Liquid Underground'

cupoftea

- london tube contact juggling - produced by howie.tv - released April 2013. Matt brings together elements of popping/locking, juggling, manipulation, isolation, illusion and humour to create a modern twist on the classic contact juggling art first seen by many when performed over 25 years ago by Michael Moschen in Jim Henson's 'Labyrinth'. Credited as one of the co-creators of the modern contact juggling style, Matt continues to captivate audiences across the world with his unique performance. He uses a combination of a 100mm solid crystal clear acrylic ball and a touch of obsession. - the music is 'Hard to Find' by Robot Koch. - www.robotsdontsleep.com - soundcloud.com/robot-koch - www.thatguywithaball.com

Mills Mess with Frontside Fake Shower

wpenman

First is a clip of Mills Mess with fake shower inserts. But it turns out that if you do flipped fake shower (where instead of throwing under the arm and catching uncrossed, you throw uncrossed and catch under the arm), then you can insert this fake shower in a different place. I borrowed a term from skateboarding and called this other insertion a frontside fake shower.

MiniEd

ponk

MiniEd - 4-person, extra-walking, period-6 MinuEd variation /nBase pattern: rotating PPSPPS feed, with C walking on 2 and A walking on 4; walking always on a left hand, clockwise Manipulation sequence as MinuEd without the zip-zip part; crossing pop helps to avoid clubbed heads/nNotation in video, underlining indicates walking/nPro tip: Pass to A on beat 1 should be aimed at M's head/n(This took us quite a few festivals to put together. Thanks for everybody who had the patience with me at MadFest, Mondo, Charlottesville, IJA, EJC, and Passout.)

Minued

wmurray

Ed Clark's "Minued", performed by Aidee Castro, Rhonda Murray, and Will Murray of Long Beach. The Minued is a pass-pass-self takeout pattern with a basic cycle of 9 beats. Each person takes a turn as the manipulator and then the pattern repeats in a mirror image, so one full cycle takes 54 beats. This video is just under two full cycles. It was shot at the Passing Zone Clubhouse in Huntington Beach, California on April 2, 2015.

Monterrey Jam feat. Cinthia Buitrón “La Flaka”

lucasadverse

As a continuation to my “jam” video series, I was able to collab with another prominent Mexican juggler during my study abroad experience in Mexico. This time I have a female juggler for the first time in this series, and I am very honoured that this juggler is La Flaka. La Flaka is known for being the first (or only) juggler in the history to explore the top-of-the-head balance in the midst of tricks. Before her, jugglers had done patterns while holding that club balance, but no one was ever able to actually integrate the top-of-the-head balance with different siteswaps and body rolls. After hanging out with the Unicirclo Laguna crew in Monterrey for a week, I noticed the potential for modern passing tricks with her and I decided to visit them once again in order to record this video. Thank you Tinoco, Flaka and Leonardo Icaza for making this possible and for being extremely kind and welcoming! Full video with better quality and more details on YouTube!

Nagoya Jam - ジャグ練 feat. Hirota

lucasadverse

I'm studying in Japan and luckily I'm staying in the same city as Hirota. Since we can easily meet and our juggling styles fit each other we decided to make this video. He is a huge inspiration to me since I started juggling, so meeting him and recording this video was an honour to me. Check out Hirota's channel and his instagram: https://www.youtube.com/user/3hirota https://www.instagram.com/3hirota My instagram and facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/jugglingadverse https://www.instagram.com/lucasadverse Music: Koan Sound - Sly Fox Location: Meijō Kōen, Nagoya (Japan). Just in case you are wondering what happened in the end: I dropped right before the last catch but he didn't notice, so after he celebrated he realized that I'd dropped it and he said "I know that feeling (when you drop right before the last catch)". Thank you for watching!

Neck Propellers

Sandy

I learnt these trying to get the matrix. The way you lean and shift your body is very similar to how you would for a matrix but easier. I go in from a horizontal pivot because it gets the staff nicly in plane. Once the staff is on your neck lean away from the staff and let it spin around the back of your neck. Then do the same in the other direction to get it back round the front. Useing your shoulders to push the staff round can help.

Neck Roll Armpit Catch

Sandy

This was the first move i learnt, it bruised my shoulder for about 2 weeks learning it but it gave me a good understanding of how a staff behaves on my back. Do a neck roll fairly horizontally and when you can see the staff coming round in the corner of your eye, lean to the left and bring your right shoulder up and catch under your arm with your right hand. After you've got this move try a 1/4 steve.
