I posted this in support of the Contact Juggling community. I haven't made a pure contact video in a while and I thought it was necessary. Fushigi and its ridiculous marketing/business tactics have taken a lot away from the contact juggling community recently. Things like respect, respect for the fact that we spend years on this stuff. I personally have lots of hard work, study, creativity (i like to think so), and sometimes pain (see, hard work) into this activity. I know many others have too, and I don't like seeing my friend upset over this attempted re-branding and simplification of our art/whatever./nSo I just wanted to say I am not going to admit defeat to this B.S. I'm still going to progress and do what I like and so should everyone else. The balls are programmed to be a certain colour determined by the vertical distance from my hand. The colour ranges from purple at the bottom up through blue, green, yellow, orange to red at the top of the highest throw - like a rainbow.
It requires fairly precise timing to keep in sync with the programmed timing. Some siteswaps I do a good job with it; others are not quite as in sync.

A handful of 5 Ball Tennis variations.
The first of these is a pattern involving feet that resembles [44][22]3, then standard tennis, next is 7445555, and finally 7535555.
The foot thing could be more tennisy, and there are many other variations I could have added. I wanted to include all of the variations suggested (tongue in cheek) in the recDot post that instigated this video (753 & 663 w/outside 3s, and 645555 with the 6 caught and thrown crossed arm on one side). I recorded the 645555 pattern and some others that I thought of in a few runs, but decided to use this clip for now.
If there is interest in seeing more tennis variations, I may record a lot more of them.

I already liked Berlin, but this trip I found out that it's the best city in Europe for finding indoor practice spaces during winter, not to mention all the friendly jugglers and circus artists who live and train here. It's inspiring, fun, and very nice to be in a big city that supports and encourages juggling!
