Contact Juggling 11-24-2010

Three months of practice, 4 hours a day: My first ever contact juggling video! Poorly edited by me :D I really, really wish that I didn't have that habit of sticking out my tongue when concentrating. Something to work on...

Contact Juggling after 17 months

markconigliaro

I can explain myself with this one. I did the toss juggling shots first since I had different locations and the wind wouldn't let me juggle for too long at a time. And the contact part was supposed to be like 2 straight runs. So after the juggling part was done, my battery was almost dead. So I quickly made the 2 runs (about 3 minutes each) and also shot some experimental tricks. I figured that would take all 4 minutes of my song....nope...after some editing it totaled about 2 minutes and 30 seconds...so I had to stretch it out./nSo this is pretty much an instructional video now. I threw in some names for the hard stuff so you can ask me about those if you have questions./nThe song is Familiar Taste of Poison by Halestorm. That song is dedicated to the last trick I do in this video, it's my poison.

Contact Juggling at Irvine Valley College

Rabit

I had a slow Sunday and decide to record myself juggling and spinning around my college, Irvine Valley College. I wanted to film around my school showing off some of the sculptures at the school. I am using my Red 90mm acrylic ball and some sock Poi./nI know that the editing is crappy and not that great and I do apologize for it. It was the best I was able to do with the footage I got. I promise to make any further videos better./nThe Music is by Kevin MacLeod and the song is Movement Proposition.

Contactjuggling.org Collaboration Video 2012

CasualArcane

*Note: Polilop is a typo. The artists name is actually PiloliP* Contact Juggling, an ancient art recently codified and popularized by Michael Moschen, is as indefinable as it is magical. Rather than try to describe it, the community of ContactJuggling.org began this project to show you how each of us sees Contact Juggling. Whether dance, juggling, mime, or magic (or perhaps all four or none at all), this video showcases years of hard work by artists across four continents, each bound together by a common interest but all unique in their study. Edited by Riel Green and Sennyo of Casual Arcane (Casualarcane.com) All music by Module (Modulemodule.com) Video by Contactjuggling.org and contact jugglers around the world! Continuous Antispun Conveyor Belt

Sandy

These are a nice varient of conveyor belts. First learn to do continuous. When the staff is falling off your last elbow, raise that elbow and bring your other elbow underneath to catch it by sort of hugging yourself. Give the staff a bit of a pop as it comes off so as to give yourself a little more time to catch it. When you've got that add the antispin by moving each point of the move to the antispin points (watch the video).

Do a Steve and as the staff is coming up your arm cross your arms so the arm with the staff on it is behind. Transfer the staff onto your other arm. Meg does an interesting variant passing from her forearms Continuous Steve detail: Forearm Transfer

Counting Escalator Steps

wespeden

LINKS: TITLE: Counting Escalator Steps IDEA: Stale bread boring and i never want my juggling to be a synonym for it. So i am trying to use what i find in juggling quickly and get on to the next thing to keep it interesting for me and other juggling enthusiasts. So i felt like i needed to make this video so the juggling didn't get forgotten and lost. (see PROCESS from more pretentiousness) HOW TO: For best results view film in full screen in a dark room with sound canceling headphones at least 2 hours after eating and no more than 15 minutes after reading fiction. Feet should be flat on the floor, palms down, and head 70 cm from the screen(assuming you are viewing this on a computer). CREDITS : http://www.k8malabares.com http://www.wespeden.com http://www.mum.is special thanks to K8 for the POP clubs! PROCESS: there is not enough room to write this here but you can read it in the info of this same video on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/wespeden

Many sweet trick are possible./nSorry for the poor quality... a better version is on YouTube, oh wait did I just say that... Noooooooooooooo fade to black.
