I strayed away from my faster, electronica-based, style of editing to pursue something more relaxed in my last few videos. For my first personal video of the year (and my first ever solo video as director and not cameraman), I wanted to revisit this style with my recent progress in videography. (4x,2)*er features 65 patterns based on the siteswap (4x,2)* performed by 22 jugglers. It's filmed in four countries and features lots of juggling celebrities - it's also pretty funny (that's my opinion of course and I made the video so, whatever).

Cinthia has recorded a video per year, since she began practicing juggling this is the last video of the room of time trilogy (based on dragon ball), showing in her performance the power of the room of time. She is a young juggler from the city of Torreon in Coahuila and for three years she has been training and she received Mr Popo's knowledge at Unicirclo Laguna. Specialized in balance techniques domain, The video it's recorded at Unicirclo Laguna a big and beautiful vintage house located downtown of the city; where time stops with walls filled of color and beautiful sight. Anybody in the world can come here to train and upgrade their level. In this video we can see ball and club in the head, a backcross addiction and we couldn't miss the unicycle her crew's representative logo.

Part one in a series of videos covering stack tricks and all the variations/uses I can think of. This video mostly covers rolling tricks and things I consider "standard". I plan to film and upload the each part every weekend for the next month or so, covering more manipulation style tricks, toss/cigar influenced tricks, and some bounce/ground based tricks.

The main idea of the video is not to copy tricks from Japanese people, but to show variations and tricks that we made based on their tricks. Filmed at a bouldering spot just east of Perth innovatively called "Boulder Rock". The music is Illusion by VNV Nation. The five main sequences show different families of siteswaps involving 1 or 2 high throws and juggling 4 or 3 balls underneath. To make the waiting more comfortable a juggler picks up his clubs. But isn’t it nice to have someone there to watch you? The juggler uses everything he is carrying to create a fellow traveler, a friend. The quest has started and leeds to a poetic play with clubs, suitcase and pieces of clothes.

The machine learning shows a genetic algorithm evolving a multi-layer perceptron neural network controller to perform the balance in 2 dimensions. A 2D rigid-body physics engine was used for the simulation. If you want to only watch one, watch this one. /nHere's a method to generate siteswap transitions based on where all the balls actually land; making them all work out amounts to creating a sequence. This is my favorite method, and it produces rather easily, all the possible transitions within the context of the throws that you've decided to mess with, either out of necessity (when throws collide) or by choice (when they don't). /nIf you're trying to come up with a way to write an algorithm for producing transitions, I would suggest that this way is the best way. It's deterministic, for one, and it's comprehensive, for another. /nThis is part 1... stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion!!

Starting off with the base pattern of rotating 2 count 4 count feed, we then add the maniuplators to do 3B (Brook in blue t-shirt the B maniuplator, Steve in black t-shirt the 3 manipulator). Every 30 beats you get back to the start, and so every 30 beats the B/V manipulator (Brook at this point) switches to the other pattern and the 5 people do around of 3B/3V. We do 3B/3V/3B/3V and then try to exit the pattern. This is a fundamental move of my Juggling Percussion technique. It's a simple move but takes practice to get it feeling smooth.

Here's something I discovered while composing my thoughts for an upcoming siteswap-based tutorial for numbers juggling (still in progress) I call them "siteswap pinch-ups." I don't think they have been described before.
