As a continuation to my “jam” video series, I was able to collab with another prominent Mexican juggler during my study abroad experience in Mexico. This time I have a female juggler for the first time in this series, and I am very honoured that this juggler is La Flaka. La Flaka is known for being the first (or only) juggler in the history to explore the top-of-the-head balance in the midst of tricks. Before her, jugglers had done patterns while holding that club balance, but no one was ever able to actually integrate the top-of-the-head balance with different siteswaps and body rolls. After hanging out with the Unicirclo Laguna crew in Monterrey for a week, I noticed the potential for modern passing tricks with her and I decided to visit them once again in order to record this video. Thank you Tinoco, Flaka and Leonardo Icaza for making this possible and for being extremely kind and welcoming!

Dopo quasi 5 anni dal primo approccio con la giocoleria, ecco che esce "Sparkle" o "Scintilla" (su ispirazione di una canzone dei Dropp), il video che esprime al meglio la mia intenzione di raggiungere la completezza nella manipolazione, tecnica ed artistica, delle palline. "Sparkle" è frutto di un intenso lavoro di allenamento e ricerca, filmato e montato interamente da me, tuttora diciassettenne. Thanks to the collaboration of 9 jugglers all over italy, and the help of Giulio Ferrarella for editing, now we can put online two versions of this video. In 2004 Jonathan Jolly released a DVD called Completing the Circle, a documentary about the UK juggling scene filmed over 6 months in 2003. It's a wonderful snapshot of the UK juggling scene at the time, with great footage from various conventions and interviews with many of the jugglers who were on the scene during this period.
Jonathan has now decided to make this lost project freely available to the juggling community.

Although so many things went wrong, I still think this turned out rather well.
In the 3 ball part, I went 2 minutes and 40 seconds without a drop, which is good because when I did drop it, I was done anyway. And try to ignore the hiss, I couldn't get rid of it, but I think later on it just went away.
I did something special for part 2, I won't spoil it, but it sucked getting that right, and it still wasn't as good as I had hoped. Yes I shook the camera and didn't realize it, but after that it went alright. although my hand was in the way for one of the tricks, (hint, inside elbow stall, then again rolling it to the fingers).
Contact juggling, for the first 2 parts I was standing on some cloths because of the squeaky floorboard I was on. In this part I decided to take them away so I can stand level on the floor....and you can hear the results. If you can get past the floorboard, then I did pretty good....in the beginning. It's weird, I purposely put the hard tricks in the beginning so if I kept messing up

Hope you enjoy the video. Also, please spare me the "unicycle" suggestion comments or "you should have done a 3 ball cascade" while riding no-handed comments. If you don't know anything about triathlons, then those comments are very naive, because you have no idea what a race like this entails. I spent 10 months training, researching, and fine tuning what works. Until you actually get out there and see what "works" then try to understand that what looks good on paper, doesn't always translate into good practice. Enjoy! -Joe

Since many years i working on the ContactStaff. Although i can say that it is the best staff what is made and balanced especially for contact technique, i still haven't been satisfied. At the last two months i made two innovations, what makes this staff the ultimate contact staff with the new connection and the special aluminum alloy, mix with the experience of weighting and creating contact staffs.

Here's a video of me doing some contact juggling in Barcelona last week... mainly isolations and not a lot of variety but it was my first time being in front of a crowd (sort of) and got a bit stuck!
This could be considered my 1 month and 3/4 video... next time I'll put more body rolling and different tricks! I know I need a lot of improvement and practice more than I do, but this is already an important part of my life and I'm happy to share it with others! :)
Feel free to critique and advise!
