MagiClub 13 comes to Sheffield, for Jay Gilligan and Wes Peden's juggling masterclass. This was filmed during the lunch break on the final day in about 40 minutes. Instead of asking people to just do anything, I asked them to try something from the workshop that they had learnt, or an idea that they could work into their juggling. This was on about 2 minutes notice, or less, so there are a few ideas from the workshop woven into this video.

Here's a non-trailer trailer for an upcoming mini-series of Boppo's Whiteboard ... namely, several different methods to calculate or deduce transition sequences between excited-state siteswap tricks. If you know the get-in and get-outs, that's enough to make transitions. If you know of or can find a trick that has states in common with the tricks you wish to transition between, that is enough to make transition sequences. If you know the states themselves and can find throws to convert between them, that too is enough. Also, if you can give the total arrival schedule, if you will, of the entire sequence you wish to have transitions within, that too enables you to deduce possible transition sequences. They all work for synch, too, but the last is maybe the best method for me.

The balls used are (unsurprisingly) Panda Balls, made by George on his quest for the perfect juggling ball. They feel quite like Sportco Balls but look like pandas so are therefore inherently cooler! This is my summer 2010 juggling video. Unlike my last one, this thing is just juggling, none of those other distractions. The summer went a little off plan and for that reason I didn't get to juggle nearly as much as I had intended to. /nMy biggest problem was that I decided I was going to run 50 miles on August 1st. So all through June and July I was running a lot. . . like way more than you should, about 80 to 100 miles a week. Most every day I was juggling for a few hours, then running for a few hours, then studying for a few hours, then eating for a while. It turns out that it's bad for your body to do that. I lost 15 lbs in 4 weeks while I was eating 10,000 calories a day. As a result I wound up really immune compromised and I got shingles in late July. Shingles in very painful so I had to stop running and at that point I gained about a pound a day for almost 2 weeks. For those of you who have never experienced rapid weight fluctuations, they suck. For weeks after that I was sore and tired fo

This is the natural progression from Conveyor Belts. They are basically a convoyor belt with a halo roll. Do a conveyor belt but instead of letting the staff roll over your second elbow, place the staff onto your shoulder staight from your hand and turn with the staff to do a halo roll and then catch it with the back of your hand to allow it to roll out. This move can be done continuously.

This move can be done with or without the extra spin on the back, i like to vary it. Keep your hands together in a prayer position all the time you are doing this move or it doesn't count. If you can't get this move try continuous steves first, they will get you used to the motion.

These can be done forwards and backwards. They arn't true elbow fishtails because there is only one beat of a fishtail at a time with other beats put in to get positioning. If anyone manages complete continuous elbow fishtails please let me know and i'll stick a vid up cos they are DAMN hard. The tricky bit of this move is getting your elbow across 180 fast enough to catch the fishtail but not so fast the staff flys off your elbow. (See also Elbow Fishtails)
