As a continuation to my “jam” video series, I was able to collab with another prominent Mexican juggler during my study abroad experience in Mexico. This time I have a female juggler for the first time in this series, and I am very honoured that this juggler is La Flaka. La Flaka is known for being the first (or only) juggler in the history to explore the top-of-the-head balance in the midst of tricks. Before her, jugglers had done patterns while holding that club balance, but no one was ever able to actually integrate the top-of-the-head balance with different siteswaps and body rolls. After hanging out with the Unicirclo Laguna crew in Monterrey for a week, I noticed the potential for modern passing tricks with her and I decided to visit them once again in order to record this video. A couple of weeks ago I filmed Ewan juggling three stage balls at the
Durham Juggling Convention. Using my editing software I then tracked each
ball individually to highlight the movement of the balls and the patterns
they make.
The results were very interesting. Check them out.
I'd love to hear you comments on this video and any suggestions on how i
can develop the idea in the future. I am planning to film more
interesting patterns with more objects but i thought three would be enough
for now. I'll also film it using more light so i can film at 1/200 or
1/500 exposure instead of 1/100 so the balls don't blur. Any way, I hope you enjoyed it.

I've been wanting to go to a juggling club for a long time, but the closest one is and hour and a half away. Well, it's been really rainy this weeks so my dad thought we could make the trip. I had a blast with my sister Lilly and all the other guys at the club. I learned a ton of new juggling passing patterns that I've never had a chance to do.

Here's a video of me doing some contact juggling in Barcelona last week... mainly isolations and not a lot of variety but it was my first time being in front of a crowd (sort of) and got a bit stuck!
This could be considered my 1 month and 3/4 video... next time I'll put more body rolling and different tricks! I know I need a lot of improvement and practice more than I do, but this is already an important part of my life and I'm happy to share it with others! :)

Each year, the University of Bath's Juggling and Circus Skills Society, Gravity Vomit, perform in Show In A Week - A performance by all Arts Societies where everyone is given a week to come up with a show. The theme for 2007 was Horror.

My first trip to WJD Osaka. It was held over 2 days and had an attendance of over 700 people in total. Some truly amazing things went down, hopefully this will give you an idea of what it was like. You may have noticed Nick Laffey in there as well, he happened to be in Japan this week so it was perfect timing. Anyone coming to Japan give me a shout and I'll help you out with interpreting or getting you around to the various juggling clubs in Tokyo/Yokohama. Honestly even if you don't know Japanese it's no problem, juggling is the best communication.

Wow, where do I even start with this video? I started the David Leahy series in January 2007 with the first video and carried on to make the next 4 all within the year 2007. The original plan for the 6th video was May 2008 but I struggling to improve and ended up scrapping the video. I got back into juggling seriously in 2010 and spent awhile trying to reach my previously obtained standard.
Anyway, Here I am in 2012, 4.5 years after the last video, and I've finally completed it! I really hope you enjoy it, I tried really hard trying to make this video reflect my juggling and even after watching it hundreds of times, I enjoy the final product. Thanks to everyone for the continuous support and inspiration in juggling; you mean the world to me!
I do intend on making David Leahy #7 but I have some big plans with TSC so it could take awhile. I do have like 16 weeks summer holiday though so I'm sure you can expect both around then!

Well this is me after one week of Contact Juggling, I know, pretty much a mess, I have a long way to go, and for some reason the presence of the camera made me serious and look a bit scary... I'm not like that when I practice, I smile, I promise! :)

Session feu du samedi soir à "Mire la Belle au Balcon", la convention annuelle qui a lieu dans la Drôme chaque année fin Octobre.
Notez la balle de contact enflammée au début de la vidéo et le Quebecois qui fait tenir ses massues enflammnées en équi! incroyable!

Well this is a long video, mostly because of the intro though. i don't want to spoil anything in the description...but I have to in the tricks list, so get to at least like a minute in before reading this.
Like I said, I'm 2 days late, but that's because I was hanging out with the .org people on the 10th, and didn't get home until 4:00 on the 11th, and I had work at 5. Then the next day I wasn't home at all. So yea, I'm late, but I didn't use those late days to get more practice in.
When i get into the ball juggling, I've only been doing that for a little less then a week, so hopefully by next month I can make it consistent. Now for the spoilers:
