This is my summer 2010 juggling video. Unlike my last one, this thing is just juggling, none of those other distractions. The summer went a little off plan and for that reason I didn't get to juggle nearly as much as I had intended to. /nMy biggest problem was that I decided I was going to run 50 miles on August 1st. So all through June and July I was running a lot. . . like way more than you should, about 80 to 100 miles a week. Most every day I was juggling for a few hours, then running for a few hours, then studying for a few hours, then eating for a while. It turns out that it's bad for your body to do that. I lost 15 lbs in 4 weeks while I was eating 10,000 calories a day. As a result I wound up really immune compromised and I got shingles in late July. Shingles in very painful so I had to stop running and at that point I gained about a pound a day for almost 2 weeks. For those of you who have never experienced rapid weight fluctuations, they suck. New Flip HD! Started working on them properly today, after 5 million tries got some that almost looked right. Maybe make another in a month to see if theres any difference...doubtful. I'm going to learn the bastard though even if it kills me.

A game branded as Gyro Ring in the past, here is a fabulously addicting prop composed of five brass washers (beads) strung onto a stainless steel ring.
To activate this prop you spin the brass beads and turn the larger ring to keep them going in perpetual activity. The ring can then be manipulated in various ways to perform a large range of tricks! This is a improv set slowed to 1/2x.
These rings were popular in Japan and New Zealand circa 1995-1997 but remained widely unknown to much of the rest of the world. A small selection of high quality rings are available online at my website SlingTrue.org

I came up with this theme after I realized that me and my audience like 2 different types of things, most of the time anyway (of course there are exceptions). I like small number, smooth and flowy stuff, not necessarily easy, but stuff I can do with 95% confidence. My audience, from what I gathered in public practices and youtube comments, they like the stuff I can sometimes do on a good day. Originally this was going to be a my favorites and best videos. A few clips of things I can do on trampoline. No point going to circus school and not learning trampoline!
Note: I am not a trampolinist! Do not expect awesome stuff... i played on trampoline for 1-2 hours per week, for about 4 months before making this video.

I splurged and got myself a pill kendama recently, and after the first hour going "what the hell do i do with this thing besides spacewalks and earth turns?" i started to discover things, and then I stepped out in my awesome lookin tie and beneath the high tension power lines, I recorded THIS. Going through as many variations of finger stall that I can think of. In a few cases I just did the index and middle fingers as putting them all in would take forever and be pretty boring to watch too. If anyone has any more ideas for different stalls let me know please!

Usually I get lots of ideas at work and put them aside/forget about them so for a test I figure I'd document it and see what comes of it. Was going to do it longer but I want to let my wrist heal up a bit before JJF. Think I might have another go at this over the winter...
