The stunning conclusion to the Throw Sequence method, for asynch tricks. In this case I derive some transitions from 714 back into 741. This one also shows how to do a 0, and why I like numbers and not letters to denote siteswap throws.

Best Method: Throw Sequence (Brute Force) Transitions

btiemann

If you want to only watch one, watch this one. /nHere's a method to generate siteswap transitions based on where all the balls actually land; making them all work out amounts to creating a sequence. This is my favorite method, and it produces rather easily, all the possible transitions within the context of the throws that you've decided to mess with, either out of necessity (when throws collide) or by choice (when they don't). /nIf you're trying to come up with a way to write an algorithm for producing transitions, I would suggest that this way is the best way. It's deterministic, for one, and it's comprehensive, for another. /nThis is part 1... stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion!!

Here's the way computers use the state-space to generate transition sequences ... and why that way doesn't work for people! Plus, there's a human-based way if you know of or can come up with a trick that has states in common with the two tricks you wish to transition between. /nPlease note that even if tricks have different levels of excitation, but nevertheless share states with one another, you can just go from the middle of one trick to the middle of the other (or wherever the tricks share the common state), without any "extra" throws.

Boppo's Whiteboard:

btiemann

Here's the "Level Of Excitation" Method. To use it, you only have to know the get-in and get-out sequences for the excited-state siteswap tricks you wish to transition between. Knowing those, you can write transitions both ways.

Here's sort of the "Human Computer" way to deduce siteswap transition sequences between excited-state tricks. You map out the states, and look directly for ways to get from a state in one of the tricks to a state in the other.

This is my summer 2010 juggling video. Unlike my last one, this thing is just juggling, none of those other distractions. The summer went a little off plan and for that reason I didn't get to juggle nearly as much as I had intended to. /nMy biggest problem was that I decided I was going to run 50 miles on August 1st. So all through June and July I was running a lot. . . like way more than you should, about 80 to 100 miles a week. Most every day I was juggling for a few hours, then running for a few hours, then studying for a few hours, then eating for a while. It turns out that it's bad for your body to do that. I lost 15 lbs in 4 weeks while I was eating 10,000 calories a day. As a result I wound up really immune compromised and I got shingles in late July. Shingles in very painful so I had to stop running and at that point I gained about a pound a day for almost 2 weeks. For those of you who have never experienced rapid weight fluctuations, they suck. For weeks after that I was sore and tired fo

Sleeping City Pt.1

SethUmbenhauer

This is part 1 of my second official juggling video. I have now been juggling for 16 months. Shots in this video were taken from many different locations including Colorado, Virginia, New Jersey, and Souderton, Pennsylvania (my hometown). And a special thank you to Peter Brubaker for teaching me how to juggle and giving me video editing tips that made this video way better than the first one. (Also, thanks to Vova Galchenko for inspiration)

I Call This Contact Juggling-Kyle Johnson

anarki_juggler

Damn WMG on Youtube. Long live Juggling.tv! I posted this in support of the Contact Juggling community. I haven't made a pure contact video in a while and I thought it was necessary. Fushigi and its ridiculous marketing/business tactics have taken a lot away from the contact juggling community recently. Things like respect, respect for the fact that we spend years on this stuff. I personally have lots of hard work, study, creativity (i like to think so), and sometimes pain (see, hard work) into this activity. I know many others have too, and I don't like seeing my friend upset over this attempted re-branding and simplification of our art/whatever./nSo I just wanted to say I am not going to admit defeat to this B.S. I'm still going to progress and do what I like and so should everyone else. This is not the end of contact juggling./nArticle by Dube on the subject:http://www.dube.com/blog/?p=765/nPost by Ryan Mellors on the subject: http://www.contactjuggling.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2

Toss Juggling After 17 Months (rings for 2 months)

markconigliaro

I REALLY hate wind. I seriously gave up on this video after I had about 30 minutes of footage but only 10 seconds of tricks, because the rest of the footage was of me waiting for the wind to die down so I can continue. I put my rings in the car then headed to a new area to do the contact juggling video. Then I found out the new area is blocked off with trees so there was barely any wind. So I went back and grabbed my rings and shot most of this video down there./nI always forget something, last month I forgot those behind the back catches, this month I forgot some multiplex 4 ring starting tricks. I should write down all the tricks I have to do before I head out.../nAs for this video, I like how it came out besides the choppiness when I do 4 and 5 rings./nThe song is Coming Undone by Korn.

Spark (New Michael Karas Film)

MichaelAKaras

A year in the making, Spark is unlike any juggling film you have ever or will ever see. A rare glimpse into the creative, inventive, and always humorous mind of Michael Karas reveals extraordinary new juggling ideas, both with traditional and innovative props. Spark celebrates that feeling of euphoria that washes over us when we conquer something new, that spine-tingling thrill of "eureka" when a new idea comes to life. 11 sections of creative and high energy prop manipulation keep the spark alive and contagious.

6 ball juggling video

tomjuggles

Here is my latest video which contains only 6 ball juggling. I started practising 6 balls in April-May 2009. Most the clips were filmed in May 2010. It's probably the technically most difficult video I've ever made =) I'm always waiting for tipps how to improve anything in juggling.
