LINKS: TITLE: Counting Escalator Steps IDEA: Stale bread boring and i never want my juggling to be a synonym for it. So i am trying to use what i find in juggling quickly and get on to the next thing to keep it interesting for me and other juggling enthusiasts. So i felt like i needed to make this video so the juggling didn't get forgotten and lost. (see PROCESS from more pretentiousness) HOW TO: For best results view film in full screen in a dark room with sound canceling headphones at least 2 hours after eating and no more than 15 minutes after reading fiction. A few cigar box juggling tricks over the break. Not as much crazy stuff as in 6, but I've been watching Lewie West's acro videos (check them out), and I really liked the mix of technical stuff with fun tricks that make you want to go train and explore whatever discipline you're doing. So I hope this does that.

We DON'T WANT TO WRITE A NOVEL, but on our last trip to LA-LA-LAND, we were faced by two guys called M.A.L.T.E. and MR. NOVEMBER. Both of them just came back from a journey to OHIO and invited us to barbecue some MARSHMALLOWS. After enjoying this delicious meal, the four of us decided to hit the TEXAS ROAD. We stopped at a small restaurant and ordered burgers with DOUBLE CHEESE AND NUGGETS. And now, HOLD ON TIGHT! Revitalized by this well prepared meal, our companions started to philosophize about BAD HABITS and BEing SHARPE. Quite cofused as we were, we didn't understand a word they were saying. They continued explaining to us that there were only a few decisions in life you really have to make :
Choose carefully, if don't pick the right options you will end up having INTEGRAL ERRORS.

That’s my new 3 ball juggling video. After watching the footage the first time I noticed that I had too much stuff for a normal video. Because of that I decided to separate it in 5 chapters. I think that the structure makes it more watchable.
Chapter 1: body placements
Chapter 2: combinations and miscellaneous
Chapter 3: fork and back of the hand
Chapter 4: boxes and Co.
Chapter 5: bodythrows and bodycatches
Don’t except too much of the bodythrow/catch stuff. Recently I didn't work much on bodythrows/catches. Therefore the focus is more on the other chapters.

This is a tutorial someone requested I make. It is also one of my entries into the International Jugglers' Association Tutorial Competition.
This tutorial is designed to help you learn 5 ball mills mess step by step, catch by catch. If you find the constant pauses annoying, you can simply skip to the slow motion parts and learn the trick that way. Either way is useful!

Two poles of different lengths balanced simultaneously on the head, as well as some other balancing tricks. This is know as a dual or twin inverted pendulum in control systems engineering. In the first 2 clips I use a long pole that is 4 times the length of the short pole. In the 3rd clip the long pole is only 3 times as long and is more difficult. The poles fit together in sections so that I can pack them in my bag. They're made from a cheap Argos wardrobe. The ball on the end of the long pole is mainly there to make the end more visible. I'm using rubber chair leg feet at the bottom end of the poles.

At MJC there was an Act Devising Program. It basically helped you make an act. All of the participants had the opportunity to perform their new found performing skill at the end of the Program. Here is my performance :) Enjoy

A couple of weeks ago I filmed Ewan juggling three stage balls at the
Durham Juggling Convention. Using my editing software I then tracked each
ball individually to highlight the movement of the balls and the patterns
they make.
The results were very interesting. Check them out.
I'd love to hear you comments on this video and any suggestions on how i
can develop the idea in the future. I am planning to film more
interesting patterns with more objects but i thought three would be enough
for now. I'll also film it using more light so i can film at 1/200 or
1/500 exposure instead of 1/100 so the balls don't blur. Any way, I hope you enjoyed it.

Wow, where do I even start with this video? I started the David Leahy series in January 2007 with the first video and carried on to make the next 4 all within the year 2007. The original plan for the 6th video was May 2008 but I struggling to improve and ended up scrapping the video. I got back into juggling seriously in 2010 and spent awhile trying to reach my previously obtained standard.
Anyway, Here I am in 2012, 4.5 years after the last video, and I've finally completed it! I really hope you enjoy it, I tried really hard trying to make this video reflect my juggling and even after watching it hundreds of times, I enjoy the final product. Thanks to everyone for the continuous support and inspiration in juggling; you mean the world to me!
I do intend on making David Leahy #7 but I have some big plans with TSC so it could take awhile. I do have like 16 weeks summer holiday though so I'm sure you can expect both around then!

Throw Joy is 53 minutes of sledgehammer hitting ice-cream cake. The result of 561 days spent making 6 clubs tricks, strapping cameras to trees, and filling 8 juggling notebooks with questionable ideas. I haven't had very many creative ideas recently. Most, if not all the tricks in this video were other people's tricks, or ideas they had for me to try. Let's see if you can match the jugglers with the tricks I did because of them.
