I posted this in support of the Contact Juggling community. I haven't made a pure contact video in a while and I thought it was necessary. Fushigi and its ridiculous marketing/business tactics have taken a lot away from the contact juggling community recently. Things like respect, respect for the fact that we spend years on this stuff. I personally have lots of hard work, study, creativity (i like to think so), and sometimes pain (see, hard work) into this activity. I know many others have too, and I don't like seeing my friend upset over this attempted re-branding and simplification of our art/whatever./nSo I just wanted to say I am not going to admit defeat to this B.S. I'm still going to progress and do what I like and so should everyone else. A fun video of spring break, nothing to serious or full of effort but some nice tricks nonetheless. Most of the footage is from my trip to Oakland where I got to juggle with Shawn, Kyle and the rest of the people at the Vulcan and the Vagabond Ballroom. Hurray for nudists and juggling, two things that go oh so well together.
The beard section in the middle is to make Sondre happy or disturbed depending on how he takes it.

I made this video because I wanted to try putting some effort into the production side of things and because I had a bunch of clips I wanted to show certain individuals. Because I had no one in particular in mind to show all of this stuff to, the video has an ADHD feel to it that I like.
For the record, the juggling here is pretty respectably difficult, the straps are respectably intermediate, and the wheel stuff is laughably simple. This is in line with how often I practice each of them as well as the total length of time I've been working on each.

Monobolo is one sided diabolo that really works. This is old prototype of it. I wanted to make act with like 20 monobolos in similar way that you spin plates on a stick but with one sided diabolos, I also wanted to be able to do regular diabolo tricks with those as well. I knew there wasn't prop for that in stores so I asked Jürgen Kreisz to do that kind of thing because I really liked his diabolo kits. I think he had plans for that kind of thing already... Anyway I got the prototype and this is basicly first test video of it. Nothing special. Then Jürgen made more and we sold many in FDC. While selling these things we gave it a name monobolo. And that is sweet. Fun toy. I haven't made the act I planned, I bet it would be boring and stupid.

Although so many things went wrong, I still think this turned out rather well.
In the 3 ball part, I went 2 minutes and 40 seconds without a drop, which is good because when I did drop it, I was done anyway. And try to ignore the hiss, I couldn't get rid of it, but I think later on it just went away.
I did something special for part 2, I won't spoil it, but it sucked getting that right, and it still wasn't as good as I had hoped. Yes I shook the camera and didn't realize it, but after that it went alright. although my hand was in the way for one of the tricks, (hint, inside elbow stall, then again rolling it to the fingers).
Contact juggling, for the first 2 parts I was standing on some cloths because of the squeaky floorboard I was on. In this part I decided to take them away so I can stand level on the floor....and you can hear the results. If you can get past the floorboard, then I did pretty good....in the beginning. It's weird, I purposely put the hard tricks in the beginning so if I kept messing up

Well, you know the year when Greg Kennedy won IJA... You propably know Denis Paumier then as well... and you know, they have rolled some things on things, like most of us, and Michael Moschen too. I just couldn't resist myself doing the same shit when I saw this 'Air defence mirror from Finnish military' It's kind of fun to do. I wish that I could get my own air defence mirror like that. Then propably I would practise more.

i hurt my should just a couple of seconds ago when i went to crack it. i mean it hurt a bit this morning but i thought i just slept on it funny. now i am starting to wonder if i hurt it in acro class tomorrow. humm. i guess it'll be better in the morning and for sure by the show tomorrow night. nothing to worry about. if you actually want to know about things you need to go to youtube and read the tags for this video there. i'm just sayin.
